Every hand woven rug has a story. Since I began restoring oriental rugs in 1980 it has been my privilege to hear many of them. It can be as simple as loving the designs and colors, or it may be more personal. Perhaps the rug was a gift from their grandparent, or their children played on it as babies, or the rug was purchased at a meaningful place and time. The one common denominator is that people care about their hand woven textiles, and they care about the quality of attention that will be given during restorations or appraisals.

The world of oriental carpets is fascinating and complex. My aim is to help my clients determine their needs in relation to rugs; the ones they own, or the ones they wish to purchase.
